Fluidized-bed granulator (LAF)

With the acquisition of a GLATT Procell Labsystem fluidised-bed granulator, SDTech has enlarged its service portfolio and can offer its clients a wide range of powder treatment possibilities :

  • Agglomeration
  • Coating
  • Spray granulation
  • Granulation
  • Drying
  • Encapsulation

The Procell Labsystem offers enormous flexibility for optimal product/process compatibility. Essentially, the different components, equipped with adjustable temperature and volume features, enable the treatment of a large range of different materials and facilitate a wide variety of services using just one machine.
Via interchangeable inserts, the machine can be used in fluidized-bed mode or with application of the venturi effect for the treatment of materials which are heat sensitive or difficult to fluidize. In addition, the system can operate in top spray or bottom spray mode and the selector switch can modify the treatment process from batch mode to continuous mode.
Designed for feasibility studies, this laboratory equipment enables SDTech to carry out small scale production runs (a few kg/hour) for various multi-sector applications.
